Spring Soccer Is Here: How to Get Your Kid on the Field With AYSO 300 or the Celtics

Spring Soccer Is Here: How to Get Your Kid on the Field With AYSO 300 or the Celtics

Spring soccer season kicked off this past weekend for thousands of kids across La Grange, La Grange Park, and Western Springs — and there's still time to get yours in the game.

Two programs call the Western Springs Park District's fields home: AYSO Region 300 and the Celtics Soccer Club. Whether your child is a 3-year-old just learning to kick or a high schooler chasing a premier roster spot, both clubs have something on the schedule right now.

AYSO Region 300: Season Is Open

AYSO 300's spring season officially launched Tuesday, April 14 for all Core teams. The Core program — the club's flagship offering — puts kids ages 3–18 on the field each week for a practice and a game, coached by trained parent volunteers. Core registration also includes optional professionally-coached clinics Monday through Thursday at no extra charge, according to the AYSO 300 website.

Playground Soccer sessions are already rolling. Registration is $195 (the $160 early-bird window has passed). For families with kids with physical or mental disabilities, AYSO 300's EPIC program — offered since 2003 — provides an inclusive soccer experience for all ages at a $40 registration fee.

Planning ahead? Registration for the Fall 2026–Spring 2027 season opens May 16. Note that there are no games or sessions on May 30 due to the La Grange Pet Parade.
