Lyons Township (LTHS) lost 8-6 to Hinsdale Central on Monday in the opening game of their West Suburban Silver conference series.

Lon Roberts led the Lions at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs. Blake Ragsdale added a home run.

The Lions are now 19-6 overall and 10-3 in the West Suburban Silver, according to Shaw Local's Monday sports roundup. The strong season includes a no-hitter from Jack Slightom with 13 strikeouts last week.

The series with Hinsdale Central continues; game 2 starts at 4:30 this afternoon.
